An unexecuted courtship :

I stumble upon one of those nights,
Under the incandescent starry skies,
A bouquet,
Some champagne,
A company of two,
And
Our favorite winter song…
There was always a sense of dubiety,
How can be everything so quintessential,
The fantasy I had always envisioned,
Was affectionately surreal…
Inconclusive to what I was heading towards,
I’d still look back with the same warmth and passion,
But who knew what was inscribed,
It started with a bloom and ended on a good bye…
Promises changed into returning favours,
Once known as lovers, turned into long lost haters.

FROM FICTION TO REALITY !

Why do we plan an ending to the stories we pen or mostly are a part of?  Sometimes they are dejected and sometimes they turn out to be gleeful. It surely satisfies our inner writer, but what about the stories we are a part of? An obvious concept of happy ending would please us.

But to my disagreement, mostly the writers are shallow and pessimistic, they’d show what is unreal and depressing.

Now coming back to our own story!

We met unusually at a coffee shop, sharing an intense eye contact and ecstatic time. To my surprise, he greeted me with flowers and I couldn’t be happier. He wasn’t any less than a gentleman and I was totally awestruck with him on our first meet, yet I kept my imaginations low.
Daily meets and spending quality time for hours, it became a habit for both of us to see each other, though we knew that he was leaving in a couple of days. We could’ve stopped there, could’ve never seen each other thinking that he will leave and this might not even stand any value in our lives further, but did we give up? No!
All of those magical moments were to be kept unscathed, inside, till we confessed it to each other on the last day, that what we really feel for each other. There was a chill running down my spine and that moment was surreal.
And there he was, leaving, to which I never knew if we would ever meet again or not.
But was that an end to everything? I think not. That meeting was still very unsatisfactory to me, it didn’t make me feel content, not because he was leaving; maybe it was just a halt to something which is planned further.

Now, what would you call me? An overly optimistic writer? Or someone who’s lovestruck and can’t see the other side of the coin.

I believe, until you don’t feel complacent about something, never stop aiming for it. There will always be a solution, and it doesn’t have to be an ending.

The fleeting affair !

There was lie on her lips
And, sorrow in her eyes,
Her heart was filled,
While her hands trembled as it is..
Bidding goodbye was never her thing,

Though, she stood and ceased,
For all this time she knew,
Was just a tease…
She loathed on how he departed,
Such was her passion, for him…
There was a firestorm inside her, but, calm on her face…

Living on an idea about destiny,
Was just not righteous,
For she was aware, that she’d get astray,
Life has been a bit tough on her,
She just thought of it as love,
Not deceived but, yet not assured.. !

Gleaming Citylights !

In this havoc, I’ve found my peace,
Rolling and ripping until I reach..
The idea is to grab everything
And leave, what all I’ve earned
And what all I have weaved..

These city lights amuse me,
To a level where I can’t resist,
The bounds we thought of as forever,
Have left a mark of unsatisfaction in each…

The more I push myself in,
It blows me off,
to an extent where I think I have lost all,
This thing drives me crazy,
My loyal wine ain’t that ardent anymore…
The roads I thought of traveling has closed all the doors.

Recklessly In Love !

Rolling in the sheets,
Tangled in each others’ thoughts,
We stay calm,
Undisturbed by the world outside,
We don’t cease to make some love…

There have been contradictions about it,
Love, as it feels right,
But,
Mostly is confined to delusions,
With one another,
Complexed and perplexed…

We live in our own realm,
But does the materiality endorse it?
Sexually liberated,
Unrestricted in the process of our convictions,
We infringe the so-called hegemony of Society…

Such is Love,
Untroubled and impetuous.

Dubious Encounters !

There are times when we want to stay aloof of everything and everyone, possible; but does it ease out our complexities at all? Falling in love and coming out of it is one of the most common intricacy. We are always successful in finding ‘The One’, we think is best for us, that one who is always by our side and the only one we want to see or communicate with, most of the times. But ever wondered why does it fade away eventually? Well, it is not always about things getting mundane or you finding other people more captivating.

There is a term I usually use is, ‘Mental Stability’, to make people understand that what do I want from any kind of companionship, they are looking forward to indulge in with me; and by that I do incur the same responsibilities. For, even if you shout it on the face of the lover, and they still think, the ego is colossal, then there is no way you are coming out of it uncomplicatedly, because you are already smitten and helpless.

‘Falling in a pit of flowers is easier than coming out of the mud puddle, later.’
Never to forget :

Inspirational Minds

Rebel hearts,
They don’t care about your story,
They’ve already walked towards the path of glory,
How he accomplished is not what you’re looking for,
What’s inside you shall galvanize,
It’s not that easy as it looks,
For someone as stubborn and tenacious,
Yes,
They’ve become fearless,
They’ve learned to master their emotions,
And from them,
We shall learn the art of unrolling zeal…
For, the happiest ones have seen the darkest realities,
Have faith in yourself,
Become one of them!

Cultured Skies !

In a city of gloomy lullabies,
Where they only hoped for a miracle to fly their way,
Freckled face and swollen eyes,
The woman standing behind the wall has seen the world,
Most of all…
Shivering and quivering she waits,
Covered in the sheet of traditions and cultures,
Cursed under the barriers of sexism,
She waits and waits for a change,
Look at the irony,
The widow in the third house cannot come out,
While everyone is coated in thick colors…
Such is our country,
Diverse and wide,
Underneath the cultured skies…!

Young At Heart !

Gazing at the clear blue skies,
While road tripping a thousand miles,
Listening to the songs delineating carte blanche,
Promising each other to follow our hearts….
There goes an ambitious poet,
Dead and perished in a holocaust of ignorance,
Who knew that an ageless soul would suffer with such dearth,
They say never look back and sway,
Don’t even try to miss the one decayed…
But who can help the broke,
We all are a part of this bazaar,
Advertising and exposing the ever hale and hearty expressions,
Yet, inside buring in the fire of lechery,
We won’t leave being young at heart !

The Last Supper !

There he was,
As she waited for him,
A drop of sweat running down her neck-line,
He watched her standing still,
There was an awkward silence,
The eyes did all the talking,
They kept on standing for a while,
Until, she took a step forward,
He got nervous,
There was a sudden rush in him,
She came closer,
Pulled out his tie,
He then chocked,
She smiled and leaned on him to ease him out,
He felt safe with her,
He liked it,
Served in the goblet was the wine of love,
They made it all night long
Being unaware of what was reserved,
The morning sun shined on its way,
He laid dead,
She wore back her LBD,
And walked her way out..
Who knew love was sold in cheap wine bottles,
Though, his was marked with a solitaire… !
